Suggestions requested
Firstly, I need a birthday present for my brother.

He something of a geek, but not that much of a gamer. However, he rather liked the Ninja Burger game I got him for christmas (for anyone interested, it's a good game, with some intricacy, but not too hard to get into). And he's asked me for somethine else of that general nature for his birthday.

So can anyone suggest anything? Not anything too fantastically complicated, nor taking too long to run, but something fun. Stuff with slight geeky references is fine, but stuff like Munchkin, which makes extensive references to gaming culture, probably is less appropriate.

Secondly, I need an interesting character concept.

I'll shortly be playing in a nWoD game set in Plymouth in 2015, with all the players being mortals. Currently I'm lacking inspiration as to what to play. We've got a 'combat accountant' in the group, so the concepts can be slightly out there, but should be fairly reasonable.

Also, interesting if rather worrying 100 minute film on how many of our civil liberties have been eroded in the last 10 years

concepts.
1. has he played Gloom? or Lunch Money? or Let's Kill?

2. the guys have pretty much *no* physical skills save maybe * in brawl here or there.. given that you are a native then someone from the forces isnt too beyond the pale. maybe either a navvie or marine?
i really wouldnt worry *too* much about it since the guys that are playing didnt really know what they were letting themselves in for when they genned their characters - [info]ieb had never even played WoD/nWoD before, and [info]lifeonsaturn was expecting to be turned into a vampire/awaken as a mage a long time ago.

if you have a character archetype that you use often, and a re comfortable with, then go with that.

Re: concepts.
My archetype I seem to have been playing recently is 'amoral bastard', though that's just the last few games I've been it.

I shall ponder some more, I think I've got some possibility lurking under the level of consious thought, ready to spring out at me.

1) You could go for something like Munchkin Impossible, which makes less gamer-references than vanilla Munchkin.

2) ASTRONAUT! With a flying car too.
